This section of the website is for the Powerpoint Presentations that were given during the Gathering. All the Abstracts were presented with powerpoint support and the powerpoint slides are presented here as a record of the proceedings.

As such these presentations represent the canvas of viewpoints which were prevalent at the Gathering by virtue of their being laid out before us. However those in the audience no doubt had many alternative viewpoints. Time constraints did not allow these to be fully expressed or explored. As such the presentations in this section represent a stepping off point for future Gatherings. They represent the language and viewpoint of this particular time, Sept 2008, in the fast changing landscape of HIV and how we think about it. They also tell the interested reader what was not considered at this Gathering which is nevertheless of importance to HIV+ peoples. Topics noticably missing from the Gathering presentations were "burnout of support workers and medical staff" and "compliance".

As such this collection gives attendees at future Gatherings an idea of HIV+ issues that have yet to be canvassed, and of alternative ways of looking at issues that still lack answers.
